Showing at the 2024 AMHA World Show
We bought Secret in 2012 to show in driving and add to our breeding program. Since the first time I saw his sire in the ring at the World Show in 2007, I became a huge fan. I made a point to find the owner and to our delight realized that they were customers of ours, Don and Mary Lou Knaap, who had bought some of mares at the World Sale. His sire who currently has sixteen World Championships, two Reserve World Championships, and FOUR World Grand Championships in Single Pleasure Driving holds a record which is unmatched, I believe, in AMHA history.
We took two mares to breed to Phantom Storm in 2012 and while they were there Secret Storm became available and we took advantage of putting more of the excellent driving bloodline into our breeding program. We picked him up at the AMHA Eastern Championship show where Lauren showed him, winning one Country Pleasure Class and reserve in three others. Then we showed him at the World Show where he placed Top Ten in two classes. We also got to cheer his sire as he won his FIFTH World Grand Championship in Single Pleasure Driving and High Point Driving Horse. I think his name should be Phenomenal Phantom Storm!!!
Progeny
Show Record
Secret was Reserve World Champion Fine Harness Driving at the 2013 AMHA World Show, second to his sire (who won his 32nd World title)! He was Reserve World Champion (2021) in Adult Showmanship and was Top Ten on the AMHA Honor Role for Amateur Hunter.
Pedigree
His pedigree is excellent going back to Del’s Cowboy, NFC’s Fire & Ice, and GerMel’s Ruth (who has six World titles herself) on the top side. On the bottom side, he goes back to Orion-Light Van’t Huttenest and Boones Little Buckeroo. If pedigree means anything, he should be a powerhouse in the breeding arena.
