After the 2021 Central Regional Championship Show wins, I posted this response concerning El Dorado’s history. “Many years ago I showed Palomino big horses and the color class was usually done outside and the judge would hold a gold coin against the horse to see if he had the striking gold highlights. El Dorado has that highlight, something rarely seen in miniatures. Lauren bought PQ (Los Arboles Idol’s Pequeno) for me for Father’s Day several years ago and I bought El Dorado’s dam (Winning Streak’s Magic’s Allure) right after she won Reserve World Champion Senior Mare 28” & Under specifically to breed to PQ! El Dorado is EXACTLY what I prayed for. Thanks to God, Lauren, Polly Weisberg, and Janet King for a dream fulfilled! Now if I can just get some stockings on his foals my “Roy Rogers complex” will be complete!”

As of the end of 2023 El Dorado is retiring from showing with FIVE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS and SIX RESERVE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS at 28″

This was the most highly anticipated foal of the 2018 season. We purchased his dam, Allure, specifically to breed to PQ right after she won Reserve World Champion Senior Mare at the 2014 AMHA World Show. Her bloodline is that of AMHA royalty with such names as NFC’s Remarkable Rowdy, Rowdy (3 times), Sierra Dawn Uno de Mayo, Lazy N Redboy, and NFC Rowdy’s Champion. If that weren’t enough, his sire, PQ is THREE TIME World Champion, is by the fantastic First Knight’s Billy Idol who is already a legend on his own. Additionally, he boasts of First Knight’s Breaking all the Rules, First Knight’s Bit o Hot Shot, Runnin’ Bare Rowdy’s Heiress, Lazy N Boogerman, Rowdy and many other World Champion and Reserve Champions.
