We sold the parents of this colt when they were weanlings and were pleased to see what they produced for their owners, Larissa Migl and Mitch Harbus. They arranged for him to come my way and I am happy to welcome him back to where his parents started. His dam, Onyx, is a daughter of Little America’s Sterling Storm who is a son of Lazy H Desert Storm. Sterling Storm was exported to Saudi Arabia.
His sire is an outstanding blanketed appaloosa who is a double grandson of Lazy H Desert Storm, who many have said was the prettiest headed Appaloosa that they had ever seen. He also traces back to JTR Loud N Clear and to the start of our tiny program, Little America’s 007 Rowdy Tornado 27″.
He and his older full brother, Full Moon, are both snowcap pattern which only occurs when both parents are Appaloosa colored. It is believed to be homozygous for the Appaloosa coloration so if you want to breed Apps, this might be an excellent investment in your breeding program.
