We were so surprised the morning this filly was foaled. Armando called me and said, “There’s a foal outside the stalls and I don’t know who’s her mother.” By the time I got to the foaling barn, he had figured it out. Apparently, when she stood she fell between the two bottom bars of the stall and proceeded to learn to walk on her own in the hallway. She was down at the end of the aisle near the gate to the maternity lot and her dam was seemingly unconcerned. Almost every year we have a foal or two that just hits us as really special and THIS IT IT. For my taste, she is perfection and will likely join our show string and eventually join our “private collection”.
Her dam is a beautiful little mare who is by one of our most beautiful stallions, Lucky Four Skippa Gold Sensation and goes back to the start of our tiny program many years ago through Little America Silver Tornado (26″) and Little America’s 007 Rowdy Tornado (27″) and his dam, Crescent’s Melodee (27.5″), who was the first of our tiny program which started in 1981. Her sire was one of the early National Champion Senior Stallions of AMHA in 1981, Double O Seven and One-Half Moto.
Perfection’s sire, PQ, is a three time World Champion and has already produced a three Reserve World Champions and one World Champion Maybe this little gal will follow in his footsteps.
